Made of Butter, Chaos, and Dreams
Hi, I’m Maddy! The baker behind Butter and Crumb, where everything is made with butter, a little chaos, and a lot of love.
I grew up in the kitchen with my mum, always finding reasons to mix, stir, and sneak tastes of whatever was in the oven. Baking has always been my happy place, the one thing that slows the world down just enough to feel like magic. Over time, I started sharing my creations with friends and family, and their joy (and very empty containers) told me I might be onto something special.
Butter and Crumbs is my cosy side hustle, created alongside my work as a speech pathologist. It’s my little corner of the world where I get to turn simple ingredients into something that feels like a warm hug.
I bake small batches of homemade treats, thick NYC-style stuffed cookies, sourdough, soft buns, cakes, and scrolls that feel like they belong in a storybook kitchen. Everything is made by hand, often slightly messy, always with love, and never too serious.
My baking is for the moments in between, slow mornings, celebrations, hard days, and everything in between. I want every bite to feel like comfort, joy, and a little reminder that simple things can be the sweetest.
Based in Albury, NSW, Butter and Crumbs is slowly growing into something bigger, a local bakery, an online cookie shop, and one day, a familiar stall at markets filled with warm boxes of treats and happy conversations.
Because at the end of the day, I really do believe: Life is Better with Butter and Crumbs.
